From humble beginnings in 2008 Billie-Jo McDougall founded MBJ Insurance Solutions. We began our journey as an Authorised Representative of AUSURE. We understand what it is like to build an idea from scratch and develop it into a sustainable and secure business into the future. In 2015 we expanded our operation with Renee Papastergou joining the MBJ family.
MBJ Insurance is an ethical company that prides itself on rigorous training in the requirements of the insurance industry. Billie-Jo McDougall has over 30 years’ experience within the General Insurance Industry. Billie-Jo has worked with some of the top leading Insurers as a Regional State Manager, Branch Manager and Underwriter, but her passion is in Broking. Billie-Jo founded MBJ Insurance Solutions in 2008 delivering professional, honest service to all her clients. She has been responsible for the negotiation, placement and ongoing management of insurance programs of varying complexities to meet the needs of a diverse portfolio of clients.
Those being from the Industrial and various Commercial sectors, both public and private companies ranging in size from local to national operations. Her experience allows her to provide clients with valuable guidance as to how they may best present their risks to insurers, thereby ensuring optimal placement outcomes. Billie-Jo has an Advance Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking), is a Senior Associate of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) and holds a Diploma of Business. |

Renee has joined MBJ Insurance Solutions as an Authorised Representative managing her own clientele and is based in Mount Gravatt.
Renee has over 17 years experience in underwriting, business development and insurance broking. From small business to large corporations Australia wide. She brings a wealth of understanding and knowledge. Her previous experience involved in Commercial Underwriting and business development has secured a diverse understanding of insurance risks, allowing Renee to provide her clients with recommendations as they feel confident that her advice continually protects their Assets and income. Renee provides her clients with individual attention and dedicated commitment to setting a strategy in finding the best insurance solutions no matter what the profession. Renee is tier one certified in Insurance (broking) with the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and finance (ANZIIF) And a certified insurance professional (CIP). She also holds a Diploma of Business.(Tafe). |
